FINDING A GOOD REAL ESTATE AGENT

Why Should You Be My Seattle Realtor?

Is finding a great Realtor a difficult process? Most people think so. Out of the thousands of Realtors in the Seattle area, how can you choose the one who will best represent your interests? As a client, you rely on your Realtor. He or she represents you in one of the most important financial decisions you will make. In an ideal match, you will have an absolute trust, a bedrock faith, in your Realtor's motives, ethics, and professionalism. And as you know, there are some Realtors who will live up to your trust, and some who may not. How do you choose?

Most people wisely base their decision on a number of factors: the approach of the realtor, their philosophy, their experience, recommendations from other clients, and an expectation of a good working relationship, based on a meeting between themselves and the realtor.

Not all Seattle realtors will fit all clients. We have our own approach to real estate based on our experience and our philosophy. We work with clients who appreciate that approach. In order to give you a sense of how we do business, here's what prospective clients usually ask us when we first meet.

What's Your Approach to the Real Estate Business?

Our approach to the real estate business has evolved over the years and is a direct result of our experience in other businesses. David ran and managed a large division for a highly successful national company for many years. During that time he was responsible for marketing, sales, planning, acquisitions, and all personnel. David realized that what made his business successful was the attention to detail, an innovative approach to the market, and real customer service. Karen; had her own successful consulting business for over 15 years, helping business of all sizes work more productively. When we entered the real estate business 10 years ago, we came to it without a desire to fit ourselves into the traditional realtor model. Instead we analyzed the realty business in Seattle and developed our business to satisfy what we would expect from a realtor ourselves. We used our analysis of what led to success in our other businesses as a foundation of what would be good business practice in realty.

We learned that many people who buy or sell homes make decisions largely on the basis of emotions. Although buying a home is often the single most important financial decision people make, many people approach buying or selling real estate with little or no information. They act on their heart and lack of good information. Imagine how someone feels two years later when discovering their house is worth less than they paid for it -- it happens all the time.
We believe that home ownership is part of an overall financial plan and should be approached in a businesslike manner. We believe in giving our clients all the information necessary to make well informed, intelligent decisions. We believe in giving our clients all their options in their particular situation. And sometimes it is not in our client's best interest to buy or sell a piece of property. Every situation is different and must be intelligently analyzed accordingly.
So we decided years ago to approach the realty business as a consultant instead of a salesperson. We believe in giving our clients all available options. Sometimes that requires bringing in other financial experts, such as financial planners or tax accounts to analyze the situation. Our business is real estate, but our clients' business is what is best for them and their family and we act accordingly.

Most realtors spend 90 percent of their time looking for new clients. We decided to use that time to provide extra services to our clients. Consequently, most of our business comes to us from referrals. If you structure a real estate business the way we do you put the future of your business in the hands of your clients -- if you don't do an extraordinary job you won't get referrals and eventually you won't be in business anymore.

Our approach may not be for everyone. Since most real estate decisions are founded in emotion, we believe that our clients should have at least one foot firmly planted on the ground. We help make sure both feet are planted by ensuring the decision they make is the right one for them.

Do You Have a Mission Statement?

Our Mission is to provide "World Class Service" to our real estate clients. We will accomplish this by establishing a business relationship based on trust, loyalty, and mutual respect. Our clients' needs, both emotional and financial, will be our top priority throughout the entire buying and/or selling process and thereafter. We will provide our clients with all the information necessary to make well-informed, intelligent decisions. We will never try to "sell" our clients anything but rather act as a consultant and a resource. We will develop and maintain strategic alliances with lenders, Title and Escrow companies, financial and tax planners, and other professionals and services that will provide trouble free and unique services for our clients.

Our work is completely guaranteed . We want to be your Real Estate Consultants for life!
